What is Bridge Financing?
Bridge financing — also known as a bridge mortgage — is short-term private capital, typically 6 to 12 months, secured against real property. It's used to bridge two transactions or timelines: closing on a new property before an existing one sells, funding between project phases, or accessing equity while a longer-term plan is in place.
